Owners daily activities

As you can imagine that is a typical day for a franchisee can vary especially depending on how long they have been a franchisee. We require franchise owners to be very actively involved in the operations of the business, especially in the beginning. So I’ll try describe what a typical day is normally like for a newer franchisee who has only had a store open for about 6 months or so.

So on any given day a franchisee will be helping with making sure the operations are running smoothly, maybe doing some food prep, helping on the cookline, working the cashier, hiring and training a new employee, touching tables and talking to guests. They will be checking inventory and placing orders with suppliers. They could be doing accounting and bookkeeping work, looking at their financials to make sure they are headed in the right direction. They also may be going out into the local community to do some local marketing, passing out coupons or business cards and just letting surrounding businesses know about their location. Every day they will probably be spending some time with email and on the phone. I could go on and on, but essentially the franchisee has to have strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task on any given day to be successful.
